Cabbage Pakoda

Cabbage Pakoda:

Serves: 4
Preperation Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

Cabbage - 1 small
Onions chopped - 1
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Corriander leaves - few
Curry leaves - few
Besan - 4 tsp
Rice flour - 1 tsp
Oil - upon necessary for frying
Lemon - 1

Method:

Firstly, grate the cabbage and then place this in a container.

Now add chopped onions,red chilli powder,cumin seeds,corriander leaves,curry leaves and salt in the same container and mix them all accordingly.

Now add besan,rice flour slowly till it becomes like a pakoda paste gradually.

Heat the oil in a frying pan aside.

Now take a tsp of paste each time and then put it in the boiled frying pan oil 5 0r 10 each time depending on the size of the pan.

Finally sprinkle the lemon on top of all the pakodasss and try eating with tomato ketchup...:-)

Cauliflower Kurma

Cauliflower Kurma:

Serves: 3
Preperation Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

Chopped Onions - 1
Green Chillies - 4
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Chopped Cauliflower - 1/2
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Fried Groundnuts - 4 tsp
Fried Poppy Seeds - 1 tsp
Shredded Coconut - 2 tsp
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - 2
Water - necessary
Bay Leaf - 2
Oil - 5 tsp
Paneer - 1 dice

Method:

First fry the groundnuts in a pan for a minute and then add poppy seeds on it in high flame and then put it aside.

Now grind fried groundnuts,fried poppy seeds,cloves,cinnamon and shredded coconut with required water until it becomes like a liquid paste.

On the other end boil the water in another pan and then add chopped cauliflower to it until it becomes soft.Now drain the water completely from it.

Now heat the oil in another big pan for a minute and then add chopped onions,green chillies,turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste until onions turn to golden brown...

And then add drained boiled cauliflower to it and mix well.After a while,add Chilli powder,salt and also the grinded liquid paste to this and mix well for like 5 minutes.

Finally add a pinch of masala accordingly and then decorate it with Shredded Paneer on top of it.

******Start eating either with chapathi/rice/bread****** Enjoy:-)

Peanut Chutney

Peanut Chutney:
Serves: 3
Preperation Time: 15 Minutes
Ingredients:
Fried Groundnuts - quantity where you can hold in one hand
Green Chillies - 2
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Garlic cloves- 2
Oil - 3 tsp
Water - as necessary
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Tamarind - very small size
Method:
Fry the groundnuts in a pan for 3 min in high flame and then put it aside.
Heat the oil in another pan for a while and then add Cumin seeds,Green chillies,Garlic cloves,
Tamarind,Fried groundnuts and salt accordingly for a while.
Finally grind all the above contents and add water to it until it becomes like a paste.
Now try this so called chutney either with idli,dosa or upma...This is one of the quickest way of preparing a chutney to almost many indian breakfasts...:-)
