Boondi Curry

Boondi Curry:

Serves: 2
Preperation Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:

Oil - 3 tsp
Onions chopped - 1
Green chillies - 2
Curry leaves - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Tomotoes - 1/2
Boondi - 1 cup
Corriander leaves - 1/4
Daniya Powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
Gratted panner - 1 small cube
Shredded coconut - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Red chillies - 1

Method:

Heat the oil in a pan for 3 minutes.

Add Cumin seeds,Urad dal,Mustard seeds,Red chillies,Curry leaves in the oil and then immediately in few seconds before it burns quickly add Onions and Green chillies till it becomes brown.

Add Ginger garlic paste as well as pinch of turmeric powder to it.

Add chopped Tomotoes and mix until it melts by closing the container for few minutes.

In the mean while,soak the boondi in water for a minute and then add to it.

Now add Corriander leaves,Daniya powder and Garam masala powder to it.

Finally, add gratted panner as well as Shredded coconut before turning off the stove for taste...

Curd Bonda

Curd Bonda:

Serves: 2

Preperation Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients:

Curd - 6 tsp
Maida - 4 tsp
Sujji - 3 tsp
Onions chopped - 1/2
Green chillies chopped - 3
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 3 cups
Curry leaves - 1
Corriander leaves - 1/4
Shredded cocunut - 1 tsp

Method:

Add curd,maida,sujji,chopped onions,chopped green chillies,curry leaves,corriander leaves,cumin seeds,shredded cocunut and salt in a container.

Put the above mixed container paste for 5 to 6 hours in fridge aside.

Now take a pan and heat the oil until it boils slowly and fry it accordingly...there u goooo*** to eat bonda!!!

Spinach Pakoda

Spinach Pakoda:

Serves: 4
Preperation Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

Spinach - 1 bag
Onions chopped - 2
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Green chillies - 3
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Basin - 1 cup
Oil - 2 cups

Method:

Add spinach,chopped onions,green chillies,cumin seeds,ginger garlic paste and salt in one container and mix them all tills its watery.

Now add basin slowly till it becomes like a pakoda paste gradually.

Heat the oil in a frying pan aside.

Now take a tsp of paste each time and then put it in the boiled frying pan oil 5 0r 10 each time depending on the size eof the pan.

Thats it!!! Its the snack time now:-)*****HOT HOT PAKODA READY*****

Bottle gourd Curry

Bottle gourd Curry:
Serves: 4
Preperation Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

Bottle gourd chopped - 1
Onions chopped - 1
Green chillies - 2

Tomotoes chopped - 1
Milk - 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste -1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Shredded cocunut - 2 tsp
Dhania powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 2 tsp
Red chillie powder - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - 6
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves - 6
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp

Method:


Cut onions,green chillies,tomotoes and bottle gourd and put it aside.

Heat oil in a pan and then add urad dal,cumin seeds and mustard to it and then mix these for a minute and then add onions,green chillies and curry leaves to it.

Again after mixing all these for a minute add ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder and fry until its turns into brownish.

Now add chopped tomotoes to it until it melts and then add chopped bottle gourd and fry all these properly and then add milk to it.

After mixing for a while,now add pinch of salt as well as red chilli powder to it and then close the container till it becomes soft.

Now add shredded coconut,daniya powder,gratted panner and butter.

You can even add chilli powder for more spice and salt if necessary. And also add corriander leaves on top of it for taste and can eat this tasty curry either with rice or chapathi...:-)

Rasam

Rasam:
Serves: 4
Preperation Time: 30 Minutes

Ingredients:

  1. Tamarind - small lime size ball
  2. Bottle gourd chopped - 1o small peices
  3. Onions chopped - 1
  4. Green chillies - 2
  5. Water - 1 cup
  6. Tomotoes chopped - 1
  7. Ginger garlic paste -1/2 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  9. Shredded cocunut - 2 tsp
  10. Sugar - 1/4 tsp
  11. Sambar powder - 1 tsp
  12. Dhania powder - 1/4 tsp
  13. Salt - 1/4 tsp
  14. Oil - 2 tsp
  15. Garlic chopped - 2
  16. Red chillie powder - 1/4 tsp
  17. Curry leaves - 6
  18. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
  19. Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
  20. Coriander leaves - 6
  21. Mustard - 1/4 tsp
  22. Urad Dal - 1/4 tsp

Method:

Extract the pulp of tamarind by soaking it in a cup of water.

Cut Bottle gourd,tomotoes,onions in to small peices and also cut green chillies vertically and then add all these to the extracted tamaraind water.

Now add Ginger garlic paste,Turmeric powder,Grated coconut,Pinch of sugar,Sambar powder,Daniya powder,and Salt and then heat these in a medium size pan by adding little more water in it.

Here you can even add Red chilli powder for more spice.

Boil all until the vegetables are completely soft.

Take a seperate pan in which add oil and heat it for a minute and then add Cumin seeds,Urad dal,Mustard,Chopped garlic pieces,Red chillies,Asafoetida and Coriander leaves to it.This procedure is called as tadka!!!

Finally add the tadka to the Rasam and mix well and then start eating this yummy rasam esp in the winter time:-)
